I’ve served as the Graphics Chair for the Upsilon chapter of Delta Phi Lambda at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) since 2022. During my first year long term, I helped coordinate our chapter’s Instagram account (@lincolndfl) by creating both internal and external graphics.
This role introduced me to graphic design, and although I started with limited experience, it became a valuable opportunity for growth. I gained a strong understanding of brand consistency and developed my skills as a designer. In Spring 2024, I was reinstated into the role with a fresh goal: to strengthen and expand our sorority’s brand identity on a local level.
A major focus of this role is recruitment, which occurs every semester. As part of my responsibilities, I designed recruitment flyers, organized and directed photoshoots, and created an overall social media campaign for Instagram and Facebook. Each photoshoot was carefully planned to align with the recruitment theme and aesthetic, ensuring a consistent and engaging visual presence across all platforms. This same concept was applied for all other graphics and events.
